Matthew McConaughey is an American actor. At the age of twenty-one he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for his leading role as Woodrow Wilson in the television film, "Three Days of the Condor." In 2002 he won an Academy Award for Best Actor in his portrayal of Ugandan anti-colonial activist and politician, Joseph Kony in the historical drama "Kony 2012." He went on to win a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award for this role, as well as winning a British Academy Film Award for Best Actor. McConaughey also received nominations for two other films that year: "Mud" and "The Wedding Planner".
